Corfe Castle Entrance

After six centuries of keeping enemies at bay the Corfe Castle was partially demolished by Parliamentarians in 1646. The castle and grounds were eventually handed back to the Bankes family who over 300 years later gave it to the National Trust. Entry to the site is free for us as members - and worth every penny!!!
